Startup Spaces



The Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership offers three facilities that support students who are interested in innovation and startup ventures - the Blackstone LaunchPad at UCF, the StarterSpace, and the UpStarts Student Venture Accelerator. However, there are several other hot spots that can help resourceful starters to realize their ideas.  Below is a list of especially helpful resources available to students that are offered by UCF:

  • Idea Lab (ENG2)

    Explore the outer reaches of your imagination at UCF’s premier “ideation station” where problem solvers go to get out of the box.

  • Gathering Lab

    Meet with teammates and discuss projects in this space equipped with round whiteboard tables designed by UCF faculty.

  • StarterSpace

    A community center for UCF starters from all disciplines to connect, collaborate, and create innovations and startup proposals.

  • T.I. Innovation Lab (ENG2)

    A maker space where you can turn your ideas into prototypes that demonstrate how your innovations help improve the lives of others.

  • Manufacturing Lab

    When you're ready to build and test a refined prototype, the Manufacturing Lab staff can help you take your innovation to the next level.

  • Advanced Design Lab (VAB114)

    ADLab provides UCF students with a creative atmosphere and the necessary tools to develop original design work for the real world.

  • Blackstone Launchpad

    UCF's source for free, confidential, one-on-one startup coaching; daily workshops; and more to turn student's ideas into opportunities.

  • Upstarts Accelerator (BA1)

    The accelerator provides UCF's most elite startups with business services and advanced mentoring to help launch student ventures into orbit.

  • John C. Hitt Library

    Advance your knowledge and expand your mind with the Library's expansive collection of resources and research materials.

  • Office of Technology Transfer

    The Office of Technology Transfer team brings UCF discoveries to the marketplace through intellectual property protection, marketing and licensing processes.

  • Venture Accelerator

     A place for technology entrepreneurs to transform innovative ideas and intellectual property into business plans with high growth potential.

  • Small Business Development Center

    The Florida Small Business Development Center Network (FSBDCN) delivers, through certified professionals, training and information to help businesses succeed and create positive impact for the Florida economy, while providing value for our stakeholders.
