Brandon Carpenter, a recent Student Fellow at the Blackstone LaunchPad at UCF and graduate of the UCF’s Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership’s UpStarts Accelerator Program, has been named to Forbes’ prestigious 30 under 30 in science listing. Forbes engages industry leaders and former 30-under-30 members each year to select noteworthy innovators and entrepreneurs who are making an impact in business and society. Brandon was recognized for founding Feynman Nano LLC, a company that has developed a cost-effective production process for producing nanostructure arrays. This manufacturing process lowers the cost of producing nanostructured sensors from as much as $1,000 to approximately $1. Applications for these nanostructures include developing anti-bacterial materials and medical applications for cancer detection and autoimmune deficiency treatments.
