Dr. Cameron Ford is an Associate Professor of Management at the University of Central Florida (UCF) and the Founding Director of UCF’s Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership (CEL). He established academic classes and degree programs, experiential learning opportunities, startup competitions and showcases, a student venture accelerator, and several free student startup services. Cameron’s research and teaching interests lie at the intersection of creativity and entrepreneurship. His prior research describes how novel ideas evolve, gain legitimacy, and attract resources during the new venture emergence process. His research has appeared in over 60 academic papers and has been cited over 3000 times. His research has appeared in leading journals such as the Academy of Management Review, Journal of Management, Entrepreneurship Theory & Practice, Journal of Organizational Behavior, and IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management. 

Cameron earned his Ph.D. in Business Administration from Pennsylvania State University, and worked at the Graduate School of Management at Rutgers University prior to joining UCF.
