Small Business Development Center
Florida SBDC at the University of Central Florida (FSBDC at UCF) is located in the National Entrepreneur Center inside the Orlando Fashion Square Mall and provides business seminars and no-cost, one-on-one business consulting.
Orlando Entrepreneurs helps existing and emerging entrepreneurs navigate the local ecosystem and find the events, resources, and support they need to succeed.

TechStars Entrepreneur’s Toolkit
Student Starter Award
The purpose of the Student Starter Award is to provide students who are committed to launching a startup venture with resources to help them address early-stage startup expenses. This $500 annual award has been generously provided by Emeritus faculty members Richard A. Quinn to support student-led startups participating in the Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership’s UpStarts Student Venture Accelerator Program.
Rice Business Plan Competition
The Rice Business Plan Competition is the world’s richest and largest graduate-level student startup competition. It is hosted and organized by the Rice Alliance for Technology and Entrepreneurship, which is Rice University’s internationally-recognized initiative devoted to the support of entrepreneurship, and the Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Business.
An annual cleantech business competition for university student teams to compete for a $50,000 prize to launch and grow their cleantech innovations into a successful business.
Baylor New Venture Competition
This journey of personal and professional development includes industry-specific mentorship and coaching towards sustainable business plans. In addition, student entrepreneurs gain exclusive access to accomplished experts and fellow innovators. Teams have the change to win cash prizes and vital resources to catalyze and grow their business.
Rollins Venture Plan Competition
The Rollins Venture Plan Competition, held during the Spring semester, provides entrepreneurs in Central Florida with an opportunity to take an idea for a new product or business and develop a plan to introduce it to the marketplace. Participants compete for prize money, in-kind services, and an equity investment offer before a panel of distinguishable judges, all of whom are successful investors and entrepreneurs.
Florida Aviation & Aerospace Capital Form
The purpose of this event is to broaden the spectrum of Early Stage Florida-based aerospace companies and entrepreneurs while engaging the industry with the Forum investment community including private equity, venture capital, and angel investors.
